Special mentions
City of Armadale
The City of Armadale initially built our building for kindy kids and has continuously been leasing to Kindaimanna since its doors opened in 1977. They have recently renovated the interior of the building and constantly been giving support to maintaining the building in working order and improve the environment of the premises.
Our Mayor is a supporter of our program and our Heron Ward Councillor has assisted us in improving the signage to direct visitors to our kindy. We really appreciate the support the council has provided us over the decades.
Donna Faragher MLC
Donna Faragher is an advocate of community kindergartens and has used her platform to help promote our kindy. She has represented us in Parliament and also aided in our raffle donating a hamper for our 2019 Open Day. Thank you Donna for your continued support.
Community Kindergartens Association
In recent years, the Community Kindergartens Association has provided us a substantial amount of time and effort in making sure our kindergarten has been given a fair chance in fighting for our rights to remain functional, and aiding in ways to improve and promote our Kindy.
As Parent Managed Committees for Community Kindergartens have a yearly turn over, the knowledge and support of the association is very valuable in assisting committees in their legal obligations.
An extra special mention to Jo Matthewson, the President of the association for 2018-present. She has bent over backwards to fight for Kindaimanna during its toughest years to keep our valued kindergarten available to families. She has a passion to keep government-funded play-based programs available in pre-compulsory education.
From 500+ Community Kindergartens available in the 1980s, Jo has been doing everything in her power to make sure our remaining 18 Community Kindergartens don't decline further.
Thank you everyone from the teaching staff and families of Kindaimanna Community Kindergarten.
